Blake Carpenter was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 2014 and was first chosen by his colleagues to serve as House majority whip in 2018. Blake was honored by the trust voters placed in him again in 2020, when he was re-elected with 64 percent of the vote.

Professionally, Blake is an aviation industry contractor who has worked on projects for companies such as Textron Aviation, Rockwell Collins, and Dassault Systèmes. He most recently worked on a military program for Boeing.

A strong supporter of our armed forces and military families, Blake serves in the Kansas Air National Guard and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on September 3rd, 2021.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and entrepreneurship from Wichita State University.

Blake grew up in the small town of Halstead, Kansas, where he became an Eagle Scout and met his high-school sweetheart, who would later become his wife. Blake and Tyleigha’s family expanded happily in 2020 with the arrival of their first child.
